Position Title: Integrated Services Coordinator I - BIM/VDC
Classification: FLSA Exempt
Salary Range: $95K-$105K/year
Reports to: Director of Support Services
Position Type: Full-Time
Purpose of the Role
Provide integrated service solutions with project teams (Saunders/Clients/Designers) on select projects leveraging skillsets in Building Information Modeling, construction and/or design/engineering. The position will require collaboration and coordination with Saunders operations, preconstruction, business development, accounting and corporate executive leadership as well as design firms, public and private customers. The Company's intent of the Integrated Technology Group is to advance the use of technologies within the ITG, Preconstruction and Operation groups.
Functions / Duties
- Develop and coordinate concrete lift model(s) for use by self-perform concrete team. Responsible for producing lift drawings, identifying RFI’s and constructability issues through the modeling process and maintaining lift drawing due dates.
- Drive MEP coordination on multiple projects, manage schedule, clash reporting, model updates, and help document RFI’s and maintain MEP sign-off dates established at kickoff
- Utilize point clouds and other field measurements to develop data-rich models of existing conditions.
- Identify and provide solutions to design challenges such as model coordination, assembly conflicts/gaps, and design change management.
- Leverage basic construction knowledge (i.e. means and methods) to leverage technology to increase production, efficiencies, safety and collaboration.
- Work as part of a Saunders Integrated technologies team to support project teams to achieve consistent results.
- Perform daily model management, administration, and maintenance.
- Building 3D intelligent (information-rich) models utilizing the Autodesk Design Suite Premium product (Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks Manage).
- Support project pursuit efforts and BD/ Marketing efforts as needed by creating models, renderings, and animations to illustrate project approach and demonstrate BIM capabilities during sales/proposal process, as well as for project communication (i.e. logistics, 4D scheduling, phasing plans)
- Support of Autodesk Construction Cloud & Autodesk Glue for operation use including posting of signoff and progress models.
- Support the Integrated Services Manager(s) for scheduling and organizing company BIM/Integrated Services training for cross department training – including Introduction to BIM, concrete lift drawing coordination, survey/field engineering coordination, etc.
- Track and manage the following: BIM budget, lift drawing matrix, clash summary.
- Provide BIM/Integrated Services software jobsite training, as required.
- Meet on a regular basis with Integrated Services Manager and support staff (BIM Coordinators and Integrated Construction Coordinators)
- Enhance current BIM service processes including workforce planning, accountability/tracking, and integration with other core support services
- Improve and gain efficiencies in our project delivery processes
- Provide a competitive advantage in the markets we serve and add tangible value added to our project and client partners.
- Hold project teams accountable for responsibilities outlines in duties and responsibilities matrix.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of ITG Standard Operating Procedure to ensure workflows are up to date with changing technology.
- Implement and oversee innovative processes/solutions such as QR room tagging, virtual reality, augmented reality, assembly prefabrication, and LEAN management.
- Provide training, support, and development of ITG staff
- Content creation and development such as parametric, nested and formula families and standards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a formalized, company-wide BIM/VDC Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Learn and utilize skillsets associated with integrated lean project delivery (i.e. multi-party agreements and related BIM execution)
- Assist with organization of Integrated Services content on SIMS
- Develop plan and processes aligned with corporate goal of design completion services on projects
- Develop training programs aligned with corporate goal as an industry best in leveraged technologies by our Preconstruction and Operations staff.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Qualifications / Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Revit software (how to create ‘Families’ and what objects are used to model certain items, etc.) and ability to create templates to be used for internal modeling purposes
- Efficient reading and comprehension of design documents including drawings and specifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Autodesk Navisworks
- Manage application and how to use it for coordination of BIM models for conflict/clash detection
- General knowledge of basic estimating practices to be used in quantity takeoff support for project pursuits
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and MEP system coordination
- Knowledge of Trimble Real Works (point cloud management) is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of AEC project experience in construction administration or jobsite experience

Physical Demands
The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position:
- Spends approximately 70% of the time sitting, and 30% of the time either standing or walking while on the job.
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs, when moving project binders, office supplies or files, and may stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance while performing these same functions.
- Occasionally required to climb, crawl, stoop and negotiate ladders, stairs or other routes at and within project sites in order to fulfill duties.
- Constantly uses verbal and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as E-Mail, telephone and radio.
- Constantly employs eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery such as computer keyboard.
- Constantly utilizes full scope of visual capacity to travel to project sites and observe/verify project progress in addition to operating automated office equipment.
