What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Intern position at Sauk County?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Human Resources Intern with work closely with the
HR team members who will provide real hands-on projects and daily tasks
that will give the intern the basic understanding of the functions in a
Human Resources environment. Interns will be able to apply
Classroom-based Knowledge To Projects And Gain Essential Skills Needed
to be career ready. This is a paid internship from which the intern will
gain valuable experience and have the opportunity to build a portfolio
of work samples. The internship may also potentially qualify for
academic credit, depending on the requirements of the intern\'s academic
program. Sauk County is dedicated to developing successful leaders and
to making this internship as realistic and informative as possible.
Internship Details Begins June 1 - Ends August 21 Roughly 26 hours a
week between the office hours of Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Essential Duties: Assist the Human Resources Specialist Recruitment in
the recruitment process with tasks such as interviews, orientation,
testing, candidate processing, background checks, acceptance and
rejection letters, and other recruitment related tasks. Assist the Human
Resources Specialist Benefits with general benefits management, such as
reconciling statements, updating benefits manuals, implementing wellness
programs, and other benefits related tasks. Help manage Sauk County
social media content across various platforms. Create/update reports and
policies for the department in various aspects of concern or interest.
Assist with projects related to Human Resources Information Systems
including but not limited to organize forms and electronic filling.
Prepare, create, and type a variety of documents. Help create content
for the Learning Managing System for all Sauk County employees. Provide
information to employees regarding Human Resources policies and
