Brief Job Description
The F&B Manager leads the F&B Team with duties of delivering remarkable service and guest satisfaction, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to quality and safety standards. This highly visible position requires a hands-on leadership style and visibility during dining times. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and a friendly personality with a strong background in food, wine, liquor, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Key responsibilities include:
- MUST PROVIDE AN EXPERIENCE THAT GOES WELL BEYOND MEMBER’S EXPECTATIONS and BE SURE STAFF IS DELIVERING IT ALSO
- Implement policies and procedures for the food & beverage department.
- Serve as the face of the Club’s food & beverage operation by being visible and interactive during meal service.
- In conjunction with Chef, design and plan menus for member dining and banquets
- Hire, train, supervise and motivate team members.
- Ordering and organizing inventory of wine, liquor, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Organization of all storage rooms containing Food and/or beverages and putting things away when they arrive.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the F&B rooms, making sure tables are set, chairs are in place, and room is attractive.
- Scheduling member dining and banquet staffing weekly.
- Making sure Team members are working at a high level, and that they understand the mission statement and vision of the club.
- Makes sure staff is properly dressed and looking professional.
- Responsible for staff and their actions, making sure they are attentive and solid.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
Candidate Qualifications
· Must be outgoing and passionate about providing unsurpassed customer service.
· Must have knowledge of service skills in both casual dining and fine dining
· Must have general knowledge of beers, liquor, and wines. Bartending skills are a bonus.
· Possess strong leadership and management skills.
· Display excellent communication skills.
· Ability to recruit, train, retain, and evaluate staff.
· Maintain composure under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be able to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of F&B experience; a country club background is a bonus
- A college degree is preferred but not mandatory
Salary Range: $55,000-$80,000Salary based on experience, plus bonuses. We offer health insurance and 401K benefits
