What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Manager position at Sauer Construction, LLC?
Position Summary:
Person will be responsible for taking full control of CQC plan for Sauer on a project located at Camp Lejeune, NC. Person will be responsible for overall management of the CQC plan and having full authority to act in all QC matters.
Essential Functions:
- Capable of coordinating with many Subcontractors
- Efficient/Able to plan days, weeks in advance
- Detail driven
- Skillful communicator with client/subcontractors
- Able to conduct QCM weekly meeting in a highly professional manner and instill confidence in client in the QC operations
- Perform/coordinate inspections
- Upload and manage QC data on a daily basis
- Perform submittal review functions
- Proficient completing required daily documentation
Qualifications:
- Degree preferred in Construction Management or Engineering
- Candidate must have 5 years’ DOD experience for projects larger than 8 million
- Certificate for “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” from USACE
- 30 Hour OSHA in construction
- Thorough knowledge of quality control inspection standards, procedures and applicable codes required
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Job requires the employee to sit, walk, stand, climb, bend/twist at the neck, bend/twist at the trunk, squat/stoop/kneel, reach above head, reach forward, push/pull, lift and carry.
