Senior Accountant

An innovative, expanding, international company rooted in the Annapolis/Kent Island area of Maryland is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting for our Sauer Mexico location. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Coordinate audits and communicates with external auditors and tax advisors
• Assists in month end closing, preparing journal entries and analyzing inventory evaluations
• Maintain internal controls and safeguard financial data
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• (3-8) years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with international accounting and foreign currency exchange preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamics required
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to read, write and converse fluently in Spanish is a plus
