A rapidly growing international market leader is seeking a top performer for their Control Panel Assembly Technician role. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a stable, family oriented, business with a tremendous culture and team environment. This key position will report directly to the Controls Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Build, assemble and wire control panels using technical drawings, reports or work instructions.
- Assemble control panels and enclosures, mount components on panels including wire cutting and stripping, soldering, crimping and test panels.
- Read and interpret assembly blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Perform continuity testing and ensure the electrical components throughout are functioning properly
- Electrical troubleshooting PLC hardware and program troubleshooting, troubleshooting control panels which includes but is not limited to 460V, 120V, 24VDC, transformers, motor starters, HMIs and other wiring issues.
- Maintains working knowledge of UL508A standards, ISO quality system and safety standards. Ensures standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process.
- Assist Production Team in following project specifications and design layouts including wiring of all components, installation of panel onto equipment and proper operation.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years of electrical wiring or related experience preferred
- Experience with UL508A standards preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Energetic and self-motivated
