Job Description
The QA Technician is responsible to ensure that the incoming and outgoing eggs meet quality standards. The technician also checks date stamps, cartons and packaging to ensure customer satisfaction. Also follows through on set processes and ensures adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and product quality standards.
Work Schedule;
Days - Monday to Friday
Hours - 6:30 am to 3:30/4:00 pm, or when shift is completed
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifies that Food Safety and Quality Checks are completed

Responsible for implementing, reviewing, and maintaining the facility's SQF food safety program
management system. - Conducts self-inspections on a quarterly or monthly basis, documents and brings about corrective actions as needed.
- Partner with the manufacturing system to improve efficiency and quality.
- Randomly sample eggs off line to check that grade specifications are met
- Examines and inspects containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing/quality specifications are met
- Reviews, records and documents results for accuracy and compliance with standards & regulations
- Keeps work area clean
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to interact with co-workers and supervisors
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to stand 8 hours at a time; reach, bend, and squat; push/pull constantly; and lift 30-60 pounds
