Job Description
The Pallet Washer/Loader Operator is responsible for sanitizing plastic pallets and dividers to meet customer specifications. You'll also monitor the loader to ensure continuous operation, helping the department achieve its production goals. This role requires a high degree of efficiency and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Work schedule:
Days - Monday to Friday
Hours - 7:15 am to approximately 4:30 pm or until finished with the days orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pallet Washer
- Sanitization: Manually load pallets and dividers into the washing machine.
- Organization: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, keeping all supplies neatly organized.
- Quality Control: Ensure all washed stacks are built to the required height.
- Team Support: Provide assistance to team members by helping with breaks.
- Adaptability: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Loader Operator
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor the loader to prevent machine stops and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Immediately address any loader stops to get the machine back up and running. This includes replacing suction cups or resolving other mechanical issues.
- Replenishment: Manually load eggs into the loader as needed to ensure a continuous supply.
- Adaptability: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Physical Demands: This role requires you to stand for 10-hour shifts and lift 25 to 45 pounds repetitively, including lifting items above shoulder level. You must also be able to frequently lean, bend, crouch, kneel, and twist.
- Work Environment: The work environment is a fast-paced production area with cement floors and loud machinery.
- Required Knowledge: You must be aware of your surroundings and be able to work efficiently in a high-speed production setting.
