Production Cleaner

Job Description

Responsible for cleaning floor area, disposal of inedible product/barrels, cleaning liquid egg totes according to company specifications. Any other job assigned by Supervisor.

Egg flats require washing before they go back to the farm. This position is responsible to set up and run the machine that washes the flats, stack them properly on pallets, and to monitor the egg loader to keep the conveyor line running smoothly and efficiently.

Work schedule:
Days - Sunday to Thursday
Hours - 8:50 pm to approximately 6:30 am or until finished with the days orders.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritizing what is most important for production needs.
• Make rounds in the department, cleaning the floor and drip pans throughout the shift.
• Wash liquid egg totes.
• Will help with providing breaks.
• Monitor tote washer drain for blockage and clear as necessary.
• Empty buckets at leaker chutes.
• Empty and clean wash tanks during Production lunch break.
• Help take out trash.
• Any other job assigned by Production Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to handle a pallet jack in a safe manner.
• Stand for a 10-hour shift.
• Must be able to reach, bend, kneel and twist frequently.
• Lift above shoulder level occasionally.
• Must wear non-slip steel/composite-toed boots (Required)
• Must wear a hairnet when required.
