Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning and ensure all food preparations align with quality and presentation expectations
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by cooking, plating, and garnishing meals efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils to uphold health and safety regulations
• Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery
• Serve food to guests or staff with professionalism and a friendly attitude when required

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
• Hands-on kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards is essential
• Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling practices
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques are a plus
• Experience with catering or large-scale food service operations is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
