Saturna Capital is seeking a seasoned Senior Wealth Advisor to support the Investment Advisory Services department and deliver excellent service to clients and prospects. This position requires professionalism, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Wealth Advisor will undertake a diverse set of responsibilities within both the Client Services team and the broader organization, impacting everything from client support to operational excellence
Location: Bellingham, WA
Wage Range: $97,000-$140,000
Primary duties include:
- Solicit new clients and build trusting relationships by understanding their financial goals and life needs.
- Develop, implement, and update holistic financial plans integrating investments, cash flow, taxes, insurance, estate, and retirement planning.
- Present actionable recommendations to clients through structured presentations and ongoing reviews
- Collaborate with CPAs, estate attorneys, investment managers, and product teams to deliver seamless advice and solutions
- Monitor regulatory, market, and life changes to proactively adjust planning strategies.
- Handle moderately complex administrative and operational tasks within Brokerage and IAS support, including calls and account research.
- Establish and maintain files to meet the firms’ regulatory requirements
- Meet departmental goals related to financial plans and new AUM, managing a dedicated book of business
- Produce and maintain client/prospect reports, databases, and records
- Educate clients/prospects on account services and capabilities
- Research and resolve complex operational or administrative issues as they arise
- Facilitate accurate and timely account set up, money movement, and investment trades
- Some travel to conferences and events may be required
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s or MBA preferred
- CFP Charter Holder
- 5-10 years’ experience in sales and financial planning, with a strong customer service background.
- Experience working with affluent clients
- Experience in private banking
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; Apple product experience a plus
- FINRA registrations (SIE, Series 7 and 66), or ability to obtain within 9 months of employment
- Candidates must be able to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements such as a logic test, fingerprints, criminal background and credit check, drug screening and reference check
