Shop Mechanic – Full Time
Monday - Friday, some Saturdays
Satterfield Construction Company is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our team full-time. You’ll work in our shop keeping our fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment running at peak performance. What You’ll Do
Diagnose and repair company vehicles and heavy equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance both in the shop and occasionally on job sites.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, determine repair needs, and replace damaged/non-functioning parts.
Communicate effectively with the Shop Foreman on repair status and daily objectives.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety standards.
Support the team by completing additional duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum 2 years of diesel engine repair and equipment maintenance.
Skills: Strong troubleshooting ability; wiring diagram knowledge a plus.
License: Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
Mindset: Safety-focused, reliable, team player with strong communication skills.
Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, Saturdays, and nights as projects require.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable with standing, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods.
Able to work in both shop and outdoor environments, including inclement weather and uneven surfaces.
