What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager Field Operations position at Satori Group?
General Manager – Field Operations
Anchorage, Alaska
Established in 2001, Satori Group provides hazardous materials remediation, environmental consulting, demolition, and health and safety training throughout Alaska. We are known for responsive service, strong communication, and delivering work safely, professionally, and on schedule.
The Role
Satori Group is seeking a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations and connect company leadership, project managers, site supervisors, field crews, and office staff. This is a visible, field-focused leadership role for someone who understands construction operations, makes sound decisions, and keeps people and projects moving.
The General Manager will be in the Anchorage office by 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday to support crew deployment and ensure supervisors have staffing, equipment, materials, and direction needed for the day. The role combines office leadership with regular project-site involvement; it is not a desk-only position.Regional travel and after-hours availability may occasionally be required based on project needs.
Our workforce is hardworking, diverse, and multicultural, and many employees speak English as a second language. The right leader will communicate clearly, address employee concerns and conflicts appropriately, and hold people accountable while treating everyone with fairness and respect.
Experience with asbestos, lead, mold, or other hazardous materials is helpful but not required. We can teach the technical aspects of environmental remediation; we need a proven construction leader who takes ownership, solves problems, and follows through.
