Scale Clerk

We’re hiring on behalf of a well-established construction and materials firm with more than six decades of experience in excavation, aggregates, paving, heavy engineering, and environmental services. The team is expanding and seeking a reliable Scale Clerk to manage material tracking and transaction accuracy at one of their key locations.

This role is essential to ensuring accurate inbound load ticketing, effective coordination with yard and dump site personnel, and proper reconciliation of materials and payments. It’s a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and issue tickets for inbound loads, verifying material types and quantities
• Accurately reconcile daily ticket activity and report cash/charge transactions
• Communicate with dispatchers and yard crews to coordinate deliveries and material placement
• Input truck data, scale weights, product receipts, and orders into internal systems (e.g., JWS)
• Maintain radio communication with drivers to ensure efficient delivery flow
• Run daily and monthly operational reports as needed
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

• Prior experience with cash handling, reconciliation, and record-keeping
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• High school diploma or GED
  
  

Preferred:

• Knowledge of State/Federal regulations related to certified truck scales
• Experience using ticketing software like JWS or similar platforms
