Job Overview:
We manufacture and distribute a variety of cake decorating products from our Chester, NY manufacturing facility. We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who excels in customer interactions and thrives in a dynamic environment. This position is part time 20-25 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Receives, enters, and monitors customer orders
- Handles inbound customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner
- Collaborating with the Warehouse team regarding shipping and logistics of orders
- Tracks progress of orders and provides information to customers regarding open orders, shipping and invoicing
- Helps to attract potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services
- Assists sales team in meeting or exceeding set sales goals and objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annualized basis
- Works with management to ensure optimal service to existing customers
- Helps grow sales revenues from existing customer base by announcing promotions and campaigns
- Maintains customer records and level of service by updating account information in the system
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Assists with accounts receivables and collection calls
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to update customer information
- Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products or services to customers
- Communicate effectively in English (and Spanish preferred) to assist a diverse customer base, other languages a plus
- Analyze customer needs and recommend suitable solutions to enhance their experience
- Provide top-notch customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in customer service or a related field required
- Strong math skills required
- Strong analytical skills to assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions is required
- Experience in the shipping and logistics industry is preferred
- Proficiency in English is required; bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel is preferred
- Familiarity with sales techniques and the ability to upsell products or services
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Experience with data entry and CRM software is advantageous
