Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Wellness Director to lead and oversee the health and wellness programs within our community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, wellness management, and patient care, with a focus on providing exceptional support to residents and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This leadership role involves managing supervising staff, and developing comprehensive care plans to enhance resident well-being. The Wellness Director will serve as a vital link between residents, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring quality care delivery aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical and emotional needs.
- Supervise direct care staff, shift management, fostering a collaborative and compliant work environment.
- Monitor resident health status through patient monitoring techniques and review medical records to ensure accurate documentation review.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality and medical records security.
- Coordinate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive case management.
- Manage budgets related to wellness programs and staffing while maintaining efficient resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols related assisted living, personal care and other service areas.
- Maintain effective communication with residents’ families regarding care plans and health updates for residents’ well-being.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care.
- Strong background in nursing management with supervising experience in healthcare environments.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and medical documentation processes.
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and Medicare guidelines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across shifts.
- Experience in budget management within healthcare settings.
- Ability to review complex documentation related to patient care plans and medical records accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and residents’ families.
