We are seeking Resident Assistants, Fulltime 7a-7p, 7P-7A(full time) and 7a-3p(part time) who will provide a well-constructed, visually attractive, secure home environment to our senior adults. To offer services and resources that meet their nutritional, recreational, spiritual and personal day to day needs. To demonstrate a deep, unbending respect for senior adults and to achieve for each resident the maximum level of independence in an encouraging and positive atmosphere of genuine care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.
- Monitor residents' health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
- Help residents with mobility and transportation within the facility, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident needs.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of best practices in resident care.
- Support memory care programs by engaging residents in activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in caregiving or home care settings is preferred, particularly in long-term care or memory care environments.
- Follow polices and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements.
- High School diploma/GED
- CNA certification is helpful, but not required
- Strong understanding of caregiving systems and home community care practices.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy (Bedside manners) very important.
- Ability to perform first aid and recognize vital signs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining resident records and care plans.
