Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team and manage client financial operations, clean-ups, reconciliations, and closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
What you’ll do
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
- Manage all aspects of client accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and financial close processes.
- Perform client account clean-ups and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Develop and implement best practices in bookkeeping, reporting, and internal controls.
- Establish and maintain effective controls to safeguard assets and ensure GAAP compliance.
- Provide financial analysis and management-level insights to support client decision-making.
- Collaborate with partners and accounting staff to deliver high-quality, timely results across multiple client engagements.
- Support client budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed.
- Provide accounting and financial guidance to operations staff to improve business practices and profits.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or controller-level work, preferably in public accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting workflow tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
