SUMMARY
The Manager, Enterprise Applications – ERP Operations Lead is responsible for the day-to-day reliability, performance, and operational integrity of the company’s enterprise ERP platform(s). This role leads the RUN organization, ensuring core ERP processes operate reliably and securely while managing operational risk, compliance, and service levels.
The ERP Operations Lead partners closely with the ERP Functional Lead (Strategy), IT leadership, and business stakeholders to ensure ERP platforms are stable, supportable, and prepared to sustain both current operations and future growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following with other duties assigned as needed.
ERP Operational Leadership
· Owns the operational performance of enterprise ERP platforms across production, test, and development environments.
· Ensures system availability, performance, batch processing, integrations, interfaces, and reporting operate reliably.
· Establishes, monitors, and manages service levels, incident response metrics, and operational KPIs.
· Serves as the primary escalation point for critical ERP operational issues impacting the business.
Incident, Problem & Change Management
· Leads incident, problem, and change management processes for ERP platforms.
· Ensures timely issue resolution while minimizing business disruption.
· Drives root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring or high-impact issues.
· Oversees on-call coverage, after-hours support models, and escalation protocols.
Operational Governance & Risk Management
· Enforces operational standards, controls, and procedures aligned with audit, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX).
· Partners with Security and Infrastructure teams to manage system access, controls, and overall risk posture.
· Ensures all changes are appropriately reviewed, tested, approved, and production-ready prior to deployment.
· Maintains operational documentation, runbooks, and standardized support procedures.
Team Leadership & Enablement
· Provides direct people leadership for Application Administrators, Analysts, and Engineers supporting ERP operations.
· Sets clear expectations for operational ownership, responsiveness, and service quality.
· Coaches and develops team members across the RUN career and competency ladder.
· Ensures appropriate staffing levels, skills coverage, and sustainable workload balance.
Cross-Team Collaboration
· Partners with the ERP Functional Lead (Strategy) to ensure smooth transition of Grow / Transform initiatives into RUN operations.
· Collaborates with Infrastructure Operations to align application operations with underlying platforms and services.
· Coordinates with external vendors and Managed Service Providers supporting ERP operations.
· Communicates operational status, risks, and performance to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
· Reduces technical and operational process debt through standardization, automation, and simplification.
· Identifies opportunities to improve monitoring, alerting, and support effectiveness.
· Contributes to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base documentation.
· Support governance, security, and compliance requirements related to application operations.
· Performs limited travel as needed to support project implementations.
· Participates in the Business Systems on-call rotation as an escalation point during and outside normal business hours
DIRECT REPORTS
This position provides direct people leadership for ERP-focused Application Administrators, Analysts, and Engineers within the Business Systems Application Operations organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field required.
· 10 years of experience supporting and operating enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar) required,
· 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing application operations or ERP support teams required.
· Strong understanding of ERP operational risk, controls, audit, and compliance requirements required.
· Proven experience leading incident management, operational governance, and service delivery required.
· Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
WORK LOCATION
This is a hybrid position (3 days in-office / 2 days remote) located at our Pleasant View office in Plymouth, WI. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional travel is required to meet the needs of the business (up to 10%). A valid driver’s license is required.
