Homebound Teacher - SMS
1 position - Grade 8 Special Education
1 position - Grade 6 General Education
5 hrs/week
Position Purpose: The homebound teacher will provide five (5) hours of direct service to a student in an off campus setting.
Essential Functions: Encourages parental involvement in the student's education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Equipment: Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements: Travels to school for meetings with case manager as needed. Travels to off-site location to provide homebound service.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
