English/Language Arts Teacher - 6th Grade

Sartell Middle School & 1.0 FTE
Position for 2016-17 school year

Job Summary:
Responsible to provide education to students so that intellectual, emotional, developmental and social needs are met according to the district and state standards, that will foster life-long learning and good citizenship.

Required Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Minnesota teaching license in K-6 elementary education, 5-8 or 5-12 Communication Arts/Literature, 5-8 or 5-12 English/Language Arts, or K-12 Reading
• Team oriented approach when working with students, colleagues, parents and administrators

Preferred Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Experience teaching or student teaching Language Arts at the middle school level
• Embraces middle school philosophy of educating the whole child (academic, social, emotional and cognitive)
• Knowledge of the Common Core English Language Arts Standards
• Ability to use technology to enhance curriculum
