Position Summary
Sarsilmaz is seeking a highly analytical, commercially minded, and operationally strong Senior Manager, eCommerce to lead the growth and day-to-day management of our webstore business. This role will own online merchandising, category performance, sales forecasting, SKU onboarding, reporting, and cross-functional coordination across Marketing, Operations, and Finance. The ideal candidate will help transform the webstore into a disciplined, scalable revenue channel by improving assortment strategy, launch execution, digital performance, and business intelligence.
This role is critical to the next phase of growth and requires a leader who can combine data, execution, and commercial instinct to drive measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
eCommerce Management and Revenue Growth
- Own the day-to-day management of the company webstore and overall online commercial performance.
- Drive revenue growth, average order value, conversion, and category expansion through disciplined eCommerce management.
- Monitor website sales performance and identify risks, trends, and growth opportunities.
- Partner with leadership on short- and long-term eCommerce growth strategy.
Merchandising and Category Management
- Manage product categories, assortment planning, product placement, and on-site merchandising strategy.
- Evaluate sales performance by SKU, category, price point, and seasonality to determine expansion, optimization, or rationalization opportunities.
- Recommend new products, bundles, kits, add-ons, and accessories to improve sales performance and customer experience.
- Optimize category structure, filters, collections, and product discovery across the site.
Sales Forecasting and Inventory Planning
- Build and maintain sales forecasts by SKU, category, campaign, and seasonal period.
- Partner with Operations and supply chain teams to align purchasing, replenishment, and inventory readiness with projected demand.
- Identify stock risks, slow-moving inventory, missed sales opportunities, and launch timing issues.
- Support demand planning with data-backed recommendations.
New SKU Onboarding and Product Launch Execution
- Lead onboarding of new SKUs into the webstore in partnership with Operations, Marketing, and Finance.
- Ensure all product setup is complete and accurate, including product titles, descriptions, images, attributes, pricing, categorization, SEO fields, and launch readiness.
- Create and maintain launch workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and cross-functional accountability.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure new products are commercially ready before launch.
Digital Strategy and Marketing Partnership
- Partner with Marketing on SEO, site content, promotions, digital campaigns, landing pages, and merchandising priorities.
- Ensure category strategy and product priorities are reflected in digital marketing efforts.
- Identify opportunities to improve product page performance, organic visibility, and conversion.
- Collaborate on promotional calendars, campaign planning, and product focus based on inventory and revenue priorities.
Reporting, Analytics, and Executive Visibility
- Build and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting on webstore performance.
- Track and report key business metrics including revenue, units sold, conversion rate, average order value, traffic trends, category mix, product performance, refunds, promotions, and forecast accuracy.
- Deliver clear, actionable reporting to leadership, not just raw data.
- Develop dashboards and executive summaries that support business decision-making across departments.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the primary bridge between eCommerce, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
- Align product launches, promotions, pricing, forecasting, and reporting across departments.
- Help establish process discipline and accountability as the business scales.
- Recommend operational and system improvements that support long-term growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, Merchandising, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in eCommerce, merchandising, category management, or digital commerce.
- Proven experience managing online product assortments, category performance, and SKU-level reporting.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory planning, and product launch coordination.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms such as WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO fundamentals, and digital merchandising best practices.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer products, sporting goods, outdoor, tactical, accessories, or related categories.
- Experience scaling an eCommerce channel during periods of rapid growth.
- Experience with ERP, inventory, CRM, or reporting systems.
- Familiarity with regulated, spec-driven, or compatibility-sensitive product categories.
