Shipping Associate

SUMMARY As a key member of the Logistics team, the Shipping Associate is the main point of contact for all outbound drivers arriving at the Plymouth Distribution Center. Additionally, this position will carry out daily order management tasks through our WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System).

What You Do.

• Manages the contactless check-in systems including checking drivers in and out for the Plymouth Shipping Department.
• Communicate with yard spotters and drivers to ensure trailers are moved in a timely manner and are set to correct trailer temperatures.
• Prepare and organize loading paperwork including manifests, bills of lading, and packing lists.
• Communicate with customers and carriers to ensure loading appointments are scheduled timely and correctly.
• Ensure temperature recorder inventory and input recorder data into customer portals
• Leverages WMS, TMS, ERP, and related systems to perform data entry, generate reports, track trends, and resolve discrepancies.
• Act as backup for the Transportation Specialist and provide support to the Distribution Supervisor, Distribution Manager, and Personnel Scheduler as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  
  
  

Your Education And Experience.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years working in a Transportation environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and strong Excel skills required, including the ability to develop spreadsheets, and training documents; experience using WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System) preferred.
