- Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
- Prepares purchase order and sends copy to supplier.
- Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates and places orders with suppliers.
- Stocks and issues materials.
- Organizes and constructs/ stages parts for scheduled repairs and PMs. Kits where feasible.
- Provides updates and confers with individuals assigned to PMs parts arrival and status.
- Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries.
- Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity and adjusts inventory.
- Verifies invoices, purchases orders and approves invoices for payment.
- Prepares report such as inventory balances and parts usage.
- Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates and places orders with suppliers.
- Estimates based on current prices and historical data for parts used on repairs, when requested.
- Provide information pertinent to work order completion estimates.
- Conferring with Engineering on proper material and established standards for replacement components when substitutions are required.
- Inspection and confirming that new and rebuilt components, materials, coming in are functional and comply with established standards and specified detailed requirements. Testing when appropriate.
- Identification and tag equipment.
- Administrative coordination of the small equipment budget expenditures, including purchasing and tracking.
- Equipment documentation review and updating. To include but not limited to drawings.
- Procurement and linking of detailed drawings/documentation pertinent to scheduling PM, Predictive maintenance work orders.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or Millwright Apprenticeship, High School Diploma or GED, three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
