The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to play a key role in analytical method development and technical strategy across solid oral dosage forms and injectables. This individual will be a core contributor to early-stage development, formulation optimization, and preparation of robust, tech-transfer-ready analytical packages to support GMP manufacturing and regulatory submissions.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with practical execution, and who enjoys working closely with formulation scientists, external CROs, and manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analytical method development for solid dose and injectable products, from early development through NDA-ready stages
- Design and develop stability-indicating methods and support degradation and compatibility studies
- Provide analytical input into formulation development, QbD strategy, and tech transfer to GMP manufacturing sites
- Author and review analytical development reports and support regulatory documentation
- Collaborate with external CROs and CMOs for method transfer, validation, and GMP testing
- Mentor junior analytical scientists and contribute to building analytical best practices within the organization
Qualifications
- 10 years of analytical chemistry experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record supporting product development across early and late stages, including NDA-submission-ready analytical methods
- Hands-on expertise with solid oral dosage forms; injectable experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC/UPLC, dissolution, stability, impurity profiling)
- Strategic yet practical mindset, with the ability to operate in a lean, high-ownership environment
- PhD or advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
