SSGA is one of the leading Gastroenterology practices in the area. Our practice consists of 13 physicians and 14 advanced practitioners including a state of the art Endoscopy Center. We will have 3 new physicians joining our practice this year. Due to our rapid patient growth and the need to support more providers, we are growing our New Patient Scheduling Department.
This department primarily focuses on scheduling for our new patient requests we receive from area primary care physicians. We are willing to train motivated and dependable individuals seeking an organized work environment.
This is a full time Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm position.
Primary Responsibilities
- All new patients requests are previously screened and registered by our incoming consult staff
- Call and schedule patient with appropriate physician or advanced practitioner
- Send confirmations back to primary care office upon successfully scheduling patient
- Send follow up correspondence to primary care for patients we were unable to reach
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years medical office experience preferred
- Previous scheduling experience preferred
- Previous medical office software experience preferred
- Basic health insurance knowledge helpful
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and phone communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
Hourly Range: $16.00-$20.00 - Pay rate varies based on skills, experience and qualifications
