Certified Medical Assistant

Overview

Saratoga Medical currently has an immediate opening for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to work in the Obstetrics clinic at Twentynine Palms military base in California. The CMA will be working a full-time 40 hour work week schedule, Monday through Friday only, with 8.5 to 9 hour shifts scheduled between the hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Check patient's vital signs and perform diagnostic procedures when needed.
• Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, allergies, and vital signs.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate and possess a certificate for a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists
• Must have at least one year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
