OVERVIEW
As a sales manager for the Saratoga Arms Hotel, you’ll be responsible for bringing groups to the Saratoga Arms Hotel including small meetings, social and corporate retreats, city-wide overflow business, and wedding groups. Your goal will be to increase the hotel’s annual revenue with additional unrealized revenue streams. Your success will help the Saratoga Arms Hotel position itself as the premiere luxury hotel in Saratoga Springs.
RESPONSIBILITES
· Identifies, solicits & closes new and repeat group business including corporate meetings, retreats (social and business), transient/overflow business, micro-weddings, social events
· Pursues new revenue opportunities by soliciting new businesses, industries or individuals that would value our property and offerings
· Strives to exceed monthly, quarterly & annual sales goals
· Maintains close working relationships with Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau, area lodging partners, event venue facilities and attractions
· Serves as an ambassador for Saratoga Arms and Saratoga Springs, connecting sales clients with other area businesses to round out their programming
· Facilitates site tours with potential clients showcasing the Saratoga Arms Hotel
· Supports service for all confirmed groups in coordination with Operations Manager, Concierge and Executive Chef
· Aligns with the GM on pricing and block strategies to maximize hotel’s annual revenue
· Participates in monthly marketing meetings to develop campaigns to support sales goals
· Attends industry events throughout the year, maintaining a constant presence with industry peers in Saratoga and beyond
· Maintains diligent notes in company CRM and PMS
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Sales and Sales Management, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with guests and clients.
- Experience in Marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the hotel's offerings and increase bookings.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry or a similar role is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is a plus.
- A passion for creating exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to representing the hotel's high standards.
