Required Qualifications
- Require the following State of Florida Security Officer Licensure within the designated timeframe: - Class D - Security Officer Licensure within six (6) months of hire/promotion date. - Class G - Armed Security Officer Licensure within six (6) months of hire/promotion date. Note: All licensures must be maintained active throughout employment.
- Require a minimum of five (5) years of experience in security, military, law enforcement or related field, with at least three (3) years in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Require the following active certifications, which must be maintained active throughout employment: IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO), IAHSS Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer (CAHSO), and IAHSS Certified Security Supervisor (CHSS). Must be obtained within six (6) months of hire/promotion date. - Require Instructor certification in a minimum of two (additional certifications preferred) disciplines related to the Public Safety field within six (6) months of hire/promotion date. - Require International Board for Certification of Safety Managers, Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) within twelve (12) months of hire.
- Prefer the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, as well as, demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- Prefer proficiency in commonly used computer software applications.
- Prefer demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Prefer interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Prefer leadership skills and understanding of group processes and teamwork.
