Job Summary
This leader has operational accountability and manages the daily activities of the clinical education programs at Sarasota Memorial Hospital - Sarasota. The manager assumes responsibility for nursing orientation, nursing education and competency validation, simulation, tuition/scholarships, academic collaborations and student placements, the interprofessional continuing education program, upskilling and outreach programs, the patient education program, American Heart Association Training Center, Relias and HealthStream. The manager will collaborate with leadership to lead the development of these programs, expand services across the care continuum and develop a multi-year strategy for these programs. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior; while ensuring teamwork tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience working with clinical programs, as well as prior experience in an advanced practice role and program leadership experience at a system level.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment and provide decision-making expertise.
- Prefer demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills at all levels.
- Prefer demonstrated leadership skills and understanding of group processes, teamwork, and cost center-based management.
- Prefer certification in specialty area.
- Prefer demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution.
