What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker position at SarahCare Daytime Senior Care & Activities?

Our participants spend the day with us in our warm, safe, and friendly adult day centers and return to their homes and families each evening. As a member of our Direct Care team, you'll get to spend the day with and enjoy the company of our seniors while keeping them active and engaged, You'll provide care for and dance, laugh and sing with seniors at various levels of cognitive and physical abilities. Your day will likely include:
- Participating in the fun during group activities, outings and exercise.
- Dressing up in silly outfits and dancing or singing for the enjoyment of the participants. (We don't care if you sing or dance badly, as long as you can enjoy doing it.)
- Assisting with the distribution of meals, beverages, and snacks.
- Showing off any talents you may possess and leading a related group activity. (Painting, baking, gardening, crafts, etc.)
- Assisting our participants with ambulation.
- Personal care assistance.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience with providing direct care to seniors.
- Works well with seniors in providing care, feeding, bathing and ambulation assistance.
- Upbeat and friendly personality.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to hire.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
