Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced engineer with strong expertise in powertrain controls, modeling, and calibration for automotive embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MATLAB/Simulink, control algorithm development, and system integration for engine and transmission systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate control systems for vehicle powertrain components (engines, transmissions, ECM, traction control)
- Develop models using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow and generate production code using TargetLink
- Perform MIL/SIL testing and back-to-back validation
- Support system integration, including CAN communication and diagnostic protocols
- Conduct calibration and tuning of engine parameters using OEM tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, system integration, diagnostics)
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE standards and configuration management processes
- Perform root cause analysis and support issue resolution
Required Skills
- 6–8 years of experience in automotive powertrain controls and calibration
- Strong expertise in MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow modeling
- Experience with TargetLink code generation
- Hands-on experience in MIL/SIL testing and validation
- Strong understanding of control algorithms and engine calibration
- Experience with CAN, J1939, OBD, and UDS protocols
- Experience with OEM calibration tools and tuning
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
