Role Description The MES/MOM Architect - Manufacturing Applications will provide hands-on engineering support for manufacturing operations and customer applications in an on-site setting in Troy, MI. This contract role involves analyzing production processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing performance and product quality. The individual will assist in integrating software and hardware solutions into manufacturing workflows, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the validation and testing of new or modified equipment and applications. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, supporting training for plant personnel on new systems, and interfacing with customers to resolve application-related concerns in a timely manner.
Required:
• 15 years of enterprise/application engineering experience
• Strong manufacturing application experience
• Experience in complex multi-site/global environments
• Strong IT Service Management knowledge
• Application architecture & integration expertise
• Experience with cloud, infrastructure, databases, APIs and production support
• Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills
Automotive/discrete manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
