JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. In this role, you will provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, ensure resident safety, and foster a positive, engaging atmospheres for all residents, including those receiving specialized support in our Memory Care community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement to residents.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of care provided, including daily logs, progress notes, and incident reports.
- A Caregiver will maintain resident confidentiality.
- Encourage clients to participate in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Support clients in maintaining independence in their daily routines and decision-making.
- Ensure a safe, clean environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards in community settings.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, such as falls, injuries, or sudden health changes, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with the care team, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members, to provide coordinated care.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clarity and understanding of care plans and any changes.
- Present for staff meetings and training.
- Monitor and document changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive conditions and promptly report concerns to nursing staff or supervisors.
- Assist residents during mealtimes, including serving meals, encouraging proper nutrition, and providing feeding assistance when needed.
- Follow individualized care plans and comply with state regulations, company policies, and infection control protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or community-based care is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a background check.
