Job Title: IT Technology Services Senior Specialist 

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to design and develop systems, applications, products, services and data to optimize / automate SAP’s business processes and improve work efficiency.  

Expectations and Tasks:  

Engage with business stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver solutions to business requirements. Perform complex data and system development along with technology integration through learned technology coding languages. Facilitate the system / service / product lifecycle, and ensure stable, secure, performant and high available operations for and between system and cloud services. Facilitate agile engagement with the business. Revise and update existing programs and provide required documentation. Manage cloud technologies, the associated architectural styles (e.g. microservices, containerization, serverless architectures) and web development stacks. Apply agile software delivery process and the industry-standard toolset for DevOps implementation. Apply modern data processing technologies and methods, such as non-SQL databases, data lakes etc. Apply modern SaaS platform, integration and extensibility concepts.  

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following: 

• Engineer SAP solutions to run in a private cloud environment; 

• Architecture validation for HANA based products in various configurations in a private cloud environment; 

• Software deployments on Azure, AWS and GCP with focus on SAP hosting on cloud infrastructure providers; 

• Database technologies, including SAP HANA, SAP IQ, IBM DB2 and MS-SQL; 

• Develop SAP Upgrade Strategy and productizing the same to run in automated fashion in SAP’s Private Cloud; 

• SAP technologies, Predictive Analytics, XSA, Quotation and Underwriting for insurance, SAP Datawarehouse Foundation, SAP Big Data Margin Assurance and SAP Identity Management Component; and 

• Test software on hyperscalar environments to identify key considerations and chalk out roadmap for future customer deployments.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $146,078 - $163,240. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $146,078 - $185,500. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
