Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.  
 

About the Team 

 
Join our dynamic team as we embark on a mission to unify and enhance SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, revolutionizing the end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly formed Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit, a pivotal part of SAP Product Engineering, is entrusted with overseeing SAP's Sovereign Cloud portfolio. Our mission is to collaborate seamlessly with all board areas, fostering harmonization, scalability, and transparency in our offerings. 
About the Role: 
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Technology & Engineering Products Group within the recently established Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations organization. 
 

Role Overview: 
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in our team's mission, which includes: 

New Engineering Development (Research and Development): Innovate and pioneer new solutions. 

Upkeep and Maintenance (Refactoring): Optimize and enhance existing systems. 

Problem Solving (Support): Troubleshoot and provide solutions. 

Key Responsibilities: 
In this role, you will collaborate closely with product and tool owners, program managers, developers, security experts, architects, and global security colleagues to define and implement the infrastructure toolset essential for SAP Sovereign Cloud operations. Your tasks will encompass proof of concepts (POCs) and productive tool development and integration, providing you with hands-on experience in various DevOps tasks. 
 

Qualifications: 
Candidates should meet the following requirements: 

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 

• 2 years of technical professional experience. 

• Proficiency in technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible). 

• Experience with public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) SDK development. 

• Previous experience in enterprise-level team. 

• Experience with scripting languages. 

• Experience with source control tools such as git with Github or Gitlab. 

• Openness to learning new methods and technologies. 

• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus. 

• Experience with Containerization is a plus. 

• Experience in SAP Product Offerings on Cloud is a plus. 

• Focus on scalable and repeatable solutions is a plus. 

• Strong decision-making skills and a can-do attitude. 

• Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking. 

• Persistence, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive under pressure. 

• Fluency in written and spoken English. 

Work Experience: 

2 years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery-related fields and technologies. 

2 years of cloud automation experience.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 109100 - 185500(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
