Job Title: CTE Senior Consultant 

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Purpose and Objective:   

Ariba, Inc. seeks a CTE Senior Consultant at our Palo Alto, CA location to assess technical issues and develop system solutions for the deployment and the ongoing support of cloud-based products and solutions. 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Support the customer during initial assessment and design phase of the implementation, and throughout the life cycle of the customer engagement. Design the technical configuration for a cloud-based solution. Create technical solutions and product changes. Assess customer systems and design solution to facilitate cloud integration. Support or maintain project plan for technical work stream. Manage technical performance expectations. Perform detailed planning of process implementation. Define detailed blueprint for development requirements. Act as an Advisor to customers throughout the engagement. Lead resolution of escalations, provide support for system optimization, and take responsibility from time to time as team lead. 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:  

• SAP Ariba Integration with Cloud Integration Gateway and APIs; 

• Integration experience with SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI with SAP ECC or S/4HANA using IDOC and Webservice;  

• Technical planning and deployment over the full project cycle; and 

• S/4HANA Material Management (Purchase to Pay) experience. 

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:  

• ABAP or Java for debugging; 

• SAP BASIS role experience; 

• SAPs SCM – SNC or SAP IBP experience; 

• EDI and its standard formats ANSI X12 and UN/EDIFACT for the exchange of business documents; and 

• HTML, Poster, XML or API development with debugging experience.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $112,621 - $188,730. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $123,300 - $209,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
