Santiago’s of Hampton is seeking a Part-Time Assistant to the Chef during the day.
Position Overview:
Your responsibilities include :
- Perform daily prep tasks including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins
- Maintain a clean and organized prep station and assist with overall kitchen cleanliness
- Label, date, and store ingredients properly to ensure freshness and food safety
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist Amanda as needed on the grill during service
- Communicate effectively to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or prep cook role preferred
- Solid knife skills and understanding of food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be dependable, punctual with transportation
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the kitchen
