What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beach Cafe Staff (General Help/Barista/Food Prep/Cleaning) position at Blue Harbor Coffee?
Blue Harbor Coffee is an independently owned coffee roastery with 2 cafe locations in Hampton, NH. This is a part time position, for 3-4 shifts a week (possibly more toward summer), at our beach front location. Ideal candidates are focused, self-directed, comfortable working with the public, proficient cleaners, able to follow task lists independently, customer service oriented, able to stay on task between customers with side work & cleaning, and function well on a positive team. An appreciation for coffee and/or tea is helpful. This position involves multitasking & prioritizing, cleaning & side work and welcoming customer service is a must. Applicant should have some work experience, reliable transportation, and live locally. Coffee industry experience not required - but the ability to train during the slow start to the season and then handle a very busy beachfront cafe pace is what you can expect. Position starts with part-time midday & afternoon hours during slower cafe times for training, progressing to include morning hours based on ability to work independently on a faster shift. Position is part-time, 15 - 20 hours/week (again, more available as the season gets going).
