Position Description:
Performs professional technical work involving the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of all electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment associated with the water system. Performs troubleshooting/repair of complex water treatment and transmission systems and equipment, as well as preventative maintenance tasks to increase overall reliability. Provides technical recommendations for system improvements and responds to water system emergencies as required.

Essential Job Tasks:
- Installs, repairs, overhauls, and calibrates instruments, equipment, telemetry, and components of the system.
- Installs, repairs, overhauls, and maintains electrical motors, equipment, wiring, and components of the system.
- Troubleshoots and evaluates plant electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems and consults with supervision on repair, maintenance, and improvement needs and strategy.
- Manages and performs preventative maintenance for all electrical instrumentation and control equipment.
- Makes programming updates and modifications to SCADA System, Telemetry System and PLCs.
- Reviews and prepares records and reports on system electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment.
- Develops and reviews SOPs for electrical equipment and instrumentation.
- Follows job plans and completes work order documentation including work performed, labor required, materials used, closing codes, etc.
- Assists with all other maintenance activities and projects as needed.
- Will consider Water Systems Technician A, B or C
Water Systems Technician A
- High School Diploma/GED 5 years of experience and technical courses or 2 years experience as a Technician B.
- Associate's degree 3 years experience preferred.
- Confined space entry required.
- Must comply with all safety and environmental policies.
- Must be an effective communicator and team player with internal/external teams.
- Must be able to accommodate overtime and on-call status and respond to emergency situations as necessary.

Water Systems Technician B
- High School Diploma/GED 2 years of experience and technical courses or 2 years experience as a Technician C.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Confined space entry required.

- Must be able to accommodate overtime and on-call status and respond to emergency situations as necessary.
