Purpose
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining resort rooms, rental RV’s and overall housekeeping tasks for the property. This position is seasonal through the end of October, with potential for extension into the winter months.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Strip dirty rooms and rental RVs of all linen and trash
- Make beds in rooms and rental RVs to managements satisfaction
- Clean bathroom, kitchenette area, living area to management satisfaction
- Restock all amenities in rooms and Rental RVs
- Do overnight services by taking the trash out and restocking amenities
- Restock maids cart at the end of each shift
- Bring dirty linen to the laundry room promptly
- Restock any of the stock areas at the end of shift
- Clean bathhouses at the beginning and end of shift
- Clean guest common areas – laundry/game room daily
- Communicate with guests, co-workers, management, owners
- Report necessary maintenance issues to supervisor or manager
- Be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Keeping your work area clean and sanitary
- Help in laundry room when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in housekeeping is preferred
- Must possess a courteous and friendly rapport with guests and co-workers.
- Have interpersonal/communication skills orally and in written language.
Extent of Public Contact
The Housekeeping Attendant will greet guests, graciously providing them assistance, and answer their questions in order that they might better enjoy their stay.
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent reaching, stretching, stooping and climbing up and down stairs. Much of the workday consists of standing and walking. Often this person will be required to lift boxes weighing up to 30 pounds, and occasionally may be required to lift up to 60 pounds.
Working Conditions and Environment
Daytime position which may include nights, weekends and/or holidays. Position is a combination of indoors and outdoors.
Housekeeping Attendants may work in any of the following extreme weather situations:

Summer– Hot and Humid Conditions:
- Attendants may work in hot and sunny weather, often with high humidity, especially in summer months

Rain and Stormy Weather
- Attendants may have to work in light rain or deal with temporary bursts of inclement weather like thunderstorms or heavy rain.

Windy Conditions
- In areas with frequent winds, Attendants may need to monitor weather conditions to ensure safety of guests and employees

Winter – Cold Conditions
- Attendants may be required to work in low temperatures, possibly with snow or ice.
- Will need to dress warmly, including wearing layers, gloves, hats, and appropriate outerwear.
- Depending on the location, there may be wind chill factors or occasional snow, which could impact visibility and comfort.
Job Requirements
- Must be 14 years of age or older
- Must be able to exhibit all physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shift
- Must be flexible throughout season, with weekend availability
- Must be able to work independently, with little daily supervision
