Maintenance/Housekeeping

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance & Housekeeping Technician to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with painting, basic repairs, and general housekeeping duties and take pride in creating a clean, well-maintained environment for residents, guests, and staff.

Essential Maintenance Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting projects, including preparation, patching, sanding, priming, and finishing surfaces.
• Complete general building repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, door handles, locks, and other building components.
• Address minor plumbing issues such as clogged drains, leaking faucets, and toilet repairs.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance, including changing light bulbs and replacing outlets or switches as permitted.
• Assemble, move, and install furniture and equipment as needed.
• Monitor facility condition and identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain painting, maintenance, and repair supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies.

Essential Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust throughout the facility.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated areas.
• Restock housekeeping supplies, paper products, and cleaning materials.
• Launder linens, towels, and cleaning cloths as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized storage area for housekeeping and maintenance supplies.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and special projects.
• Follow proper infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance, painting, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic repair techniques and use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, reaching, and standing for extended periods.

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• May include occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities as needed.
