Job Description
We are looking for a part time positive, energetic, Christian person to manage the office of Community Church in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. We are seeking a person with great people skills, and the desire to support the pastors, church staff, board and congregation. This person will have administrative and some financial responsibilities, including but not limited to the following requirements listed below.
Hours: 8:30am – 2:30pm M-Thur.
Administrative:
- Answer phones and acts as “first point of contact” for the church
- Answer and manage emails for main church email account.
- Maintain databases for all communications (newsletters, bulletins, etc.)
- Provide administrative support for pastors, staff, and various church teams.
- Maintain organization of church calendars, files, office supplies, etc.
- Manage all files and paperwork for the church office
- Produce weekly bulletins and other needed communication (newsletter, funeral bulletins, etc).
- Order supplies as needed
- Manage entry control point during preschool hours of operation
- Work with other documents within Microsoft Office.
- Placement of newsletters/bulletins around church for services (as required)
Financial:
- Keep up on weekly giving reports in QuickBooks/Excel and on our online giving platform.
- Prepare weekly bills and cut checks
- Handle weekly deposits (church and, when needed, preschool) and record financial transactions in Excel and QuickBooks
- Review giving statement quarterly
- Review giving statements yearly
- Process Time and Talent/Pledge cards and manage all schedules for volunteers for the year
- Process pledge cards and keep treasurer abreast of financial pledges and any changes
- Pay credit card bill monthly
- Process expense reports
- Education requirements: High School diploma or GED minimum. Some college or degree or related technical education and job experience preferred.
- Background check, credit check will be conducted. Three references required.
- Hours: 8:30am – 2:30pm M-T, 8:30am – 12:00 pm Friday

Benefits
- PTO (paid time off -2 weeks immediately) and designated holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (plus one), and Christmas Day (plus one))
- $23,000-$25,000 annual salary (average 24-26 hours/week)
