Warehouse Receiver/ Stand Up Forklift Operator

Job Brief

Forklift Operator Location: Hodgkins, IL | Pay: $21/hr Company: Ethos Seafood Group (Santa Monica Seafood Division) We’re hiring a Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. You’ll be responsible for moving, receiving, staging, and shipping.

This position is for Ethos Seafood Group, a division of Santa Monica Seafood.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (Availability for rotating weekends)

5AM-3PM

Summary:

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for assisting the Logistics Supervisor with the receiving, inspection, movement, inventory tracking, and dispatching of raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspects and perform maintenance of forklift(standup), pallet jack, and walkie riders.
• Accurately transfer product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations.
• Ensures identifying stickers corresponds to pallet.
• Perform inventory counts as required.
• Wrap and stage orders to be shipped.
• Load delivery trucks, place TTE, and seal trailer.
• Inspect and clean dock doors.
• Stage inventory at designated location inside the facility.
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year proven experience as standup forklift operator. Valid certification to operate forklifts required.

Bilingual preferred

Work Environment:

• Some tasks may be done in below freezing temperatures (cold gear is provided)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
