Duties
- Manage and process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and timely payments.
- Oversee accounts receivable functions by invoicing customers, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and prompt collection
- Perform account reconciliations for general ledger accounts related to payables and receivables to maintain precise financial records
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Conduct data entry with high accuracy using 10-key typing skills and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
- Collaborate with the finance team on analysis of financial data, ensuring adherence to internal controls and audit requirements
- Understanding of schedules and manage clearing.
- Responsible for input of customer and manufacturing invoices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable functions within an auto dealership or similar retail environment
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation
- Familiarity with dealership software is a plus
- Ability to perform detailed analysis skills for account reconciliation and error resolution
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments including human resources and corporate accounting teams
