Job Summary
The Academic Support Teacher provides specialized small-group and individualized instruction aligned with district curriculum, evidence-based academic support practices, and California Content and ELD Standards. Through coordinated schoolwide processes, identify students for academic support, analyze assessment data, monitor progress, and support instructional decisions that accelerate student growth. The Academic Support Teacher plays a key role in strengthening schoolwide systems of support and advancing equitable, responsive instruction to ensure that all students, including English Learners, Long -Term English Learners, newcomers, students below grade-level, and others needing targeted support to achieve academic success.
