What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distiller - two years experience required position at Santa Fe Spirits?
Santa Fe Spirits is looking for an Assistant Distiller to join our production team.
We are seeking a candidate with either malt whiskey production experience or brewing experience.
Duties:
- Assist head distiller in day to day operation of distillery operations, including still operation, mashing, barreling
- General maintenance of the facility, equipment cleaning
- Assistant distiller will help with all production operations including bottling of spirits, inventory handling, and warehouse operations
Competencies:
- Applicant must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and be able to stand on their feet for most of the day,
- Applicant must be dependable, hardworking, detail oriented, professional,
- Comfortable working around potentially hazardous conditions,
- Strong time management skills,
- Must be able to work as part of a team,
- Forklift experience and mechanical aptitude a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Requires high school diploma, college degree preferred,
- Experience in brewing, fermentation, yeast propagation, fractional distillation, and/or chemical analysis,
- Basic computer skills, including ability to read and write spreadsheets.
