Distiller - two years experience required

Santa Fe Spirits is looking for an Assistant Distiller to join our production team.

We are seeking a candidate with either malt whiskey production experience or brewing experience.

Duties:

• Assist head distiller in day to day operation of distillery operations, including still operation, mashing, barreling
• General maintenance of the facility, equipment cleaning
• Assistant distiller will help with all production operations including bottling of spirits, inventory handling, and warehouse operations

Competencies:

• Applicant must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and be able to stand on their feet for most of the day,
• Applicant must be dependable, hardworking, detail oriented, professional,
• Comfortable working around potentially hazardous conditions,
• Strong time management skills,
• Must be able to work as part of a team,
• Forklift experience and mechanical aptitude a plus.

Education/Experience:

• Requires high school diploma, college degree preferred,
• Experience in brewing, fermentation, yeast propagation, fractional distillation, and/or chemical analysis,
• Basic computer skills, including ability to read and write spreadsheets.
