About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Part-time Commercial Sales Representative to drive battery sales and expand our commercial customer base by connecting with businesses that rely on dependable battery solutions. This role begins part-time with a clear, performance-based path to full-time employment once sales quotas are consistently achieved. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a sales-driven environment and enjoys being out in the field—visiting potential customers, identifying needs, and offering the right products from our extensive lineup, including automotive, golf cart, SLA, material handling, forklift, marine/RV, and powersport batteries.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and develop new B2B sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Build relationships with businesses, fleet operators, industrial clients, and other high-volume battery users.
- Cold-call prospective customers to introduce our products, qualify leads, and schedule meetings.
- Conduct in person visits to present solutions, assess needs, and build customer relationships.
- Present and promote battery products to potential customers.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with clients.
- Maintain customer relationships through regular follow-ups and excellent service.
- Track sales activities and report performance metrics.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and product offerings.
- Provide light product education, battery testing guidance, or installation support where needed (training provided).
- Assist walk-in retail or commercial customers when staffing needs require support (as needed).
- Conduct basic battery testing or installation if needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment while on-site.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or a related field (battery sales experience preferred).
- 2 years' experience in sales with strong track record of success
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable with field travel, customer visits, and proactive outreach.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Basic knowledge of batteries and their applications is preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
- $17.50 an hour Uncapped Commission on new and reoccurring sales
