Position Overview
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and logistics team to coordinate daily operations, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain a safe, well-organized workspace. This role combines hands-on leadership with administrative responsibility — perfect for someone who enjoys both teamwork and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and route trucks, ensuring efficient delivery schedules
- Schedule and oversee pickups and inbound shipments
- Open and close the warehouse, maintaining security and safety standards
- Act as the lead loader/unloader, setting the pace for warehouse staff
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively
- Manage inventory cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation
- Prepare and process invoices and delivery paperwork
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
- Support training and supervision of warehouse staff
- Collaborate with sales and office teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Enforce safety protocols and warehouse best practices
