Accountant I
Job Purpose
Prepare monthly journal entries and ensures accuracy of entries by performing monthly account reconciliations prepaids, overheads, progress billings, advance payments, etc. Will prepare SCI expense reports for approval, and assist with preparing temp labor invoices for review/approval. Interface with other departments as necessary. Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and GOVT regulations. Will assist with internal and external audits.
Nature of Duties:
- Accountable for preparing journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Close and balance sub ledger accounts
- Respond to various Corporate and Plant inquiries
- Be a team player
- Be able to customize pace
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting/finance
- 0-2 years accounting experience
- Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically Word and Excel
- Oracle experience is a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skill
